The PARC | A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner

Full-Time | Salaried | Leadership Opportunity

Lead with Purpose. Inspire Your Team. Make a Difference.

Are you a passionate, people-focused leader who thrives on developing teams, creating a positive workplace culture, and driving operational excellence?

The PARC, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is looking for an experienced and collaborative Hospital Manager to join our leadership team!

At The PARC, we believe exceptional veterinary care begins with exceptional people. Our mission is to maximize the life our clients share with their pets, and we accomplish this by creating meaningful relationships, delivering compassionate care, and fostering an environment where our team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

We're searching for a dynamic leader who brings strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping others grow.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on hospital culture, employee engagement, leadership development, and operational success while working alongside a dedicated team of veterinary professionals.

About the Opportunity

As our Hospital Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the people, culture, and day-to-day operations of The PARC.

Reporting directly to the Hospital Administrator, you'll collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Operations Manager, department supervisors, and leadership teams to strengthen hospital performance, develop talented team members, and ensure our values are reflected in everything we do.

You'll serve as a visible, approachable leader across our hospital locations, helping create an environment where employees feel heard, supported, and inspired to deliver exceptional care.

This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing people development with operational strategy and wants to make a lasting impact on both employees and the clients we serve.

What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Development
  • Serve as an approachable, supportive leader who builds meaningful relationships across departments and hospital locations.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to establish goals, identify priorities, and implement strategies that support hospital success.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop department leaders in communication, performance management, conflict resolution, and effective team leadership.
  • Facilitate regular leadership meetings to align priorities, establish accountability, and ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Support organizational changes and new programs while helping team members understand their purpose and impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve leadership effectiveness, team collaboration, and operational performance.
Culture & Employee Engagement
  • Champion The PARC's mission, values, and commitment to delivering exceptional veterinary care.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment where employees feel valued and supported.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and efforts to strengthen team morale and retention.
  • Oversee the annual Gallup employee engagement process, including reviewing feedback, identifying opportunities, and implementing action plans.
  • Partner with department leaders to proactively address workplace concerns and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Foster a culture built on trust, accountability, open communication, and teamwork.
Talent Management & Training
  • Collaborate with department leaders and Thrive Pet Healthcare recruiters to support hiring and staffing needs.
  • Oversee the onboarding experience to ensure new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to The PARC's mission and culture.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen employee retention, professional development, and career growth.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives, including The PARC's Plugged In training program.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and support ongoing employee education.
Employee Relations & Communication
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and department leaders, providing guidance and support when workplace challenges arise.
  • Partner with Thrive's People Operations team on employee relations matters, performance management, and organizational policies.
  • Support timely performance evaluations, coaching, employee recognition, and corrective action processes.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment when navigating sensitive situations.
Client Experience & Community Engagement
  • Support an exceptional client experience by addressing escalated non-medical concerns with empathy, professionalism, and timely communication.
  • Monitor client feedback and online reviews to identify opportunities to strengthen service and hospital reputation.
  • Collaborate with medical leadership to ensure client concerns are appropriately addressed.
  • Build relationships within the community through local partnerships, sponsorships, and community events.
  • Represent The PARC's brand and commitment to compassionate veterinary care.
Hospital Operations & Performance
  • Partner with hospital leadership to establish annual goals and develop actionable plans that support operational success.
  • Monitor hospital performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, client retention, and service delivery.
  • Utilize reporting tools and business data to evaluate performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives designed to improve operational effectiveness and support sustainable hospital growth.
  • Support workplace safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and employee injury reporting in partnership with appropriate teams.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement process improvements that enhance both the employee and client experience.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a motivated, emotionally intelligent leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping teams reach their full potential.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop individuals and teams.
  • Experience managing projects, programs, or organizational initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Experience navigating employee relations, providing constructive feedback, and handling challenging conversations.
  • The ability to analyze business data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a commitment to accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, professionalism, adaptability, and sound judgment.
  • A passion for creating a positive workplace culture and delivering exceptional service.

Veterinary or healthcare experience is beneficial but not required! We welcome experienced leaders from other industries who bring transferable skills, a passion for developing people, and an interest in making a meaningful impact within veterinary medicine.

As Hospital Manager, you'll have the opportunity to bring these values to life while helping shape a workplace culture where people genuinely enjoy coming to work.
